MANHASSET, N.Y. TriQuint Semiconductor has rebranded its Orlando, Fla.-based Sawtek operations as TriQuint.
Sawtek merged with TriQuint (Hillsboro, Ore.) in 2001 as part of a strategy to give customers a range of RF modules and components. TriQuint's Orlando operations supplies signal filtering operations to meet CDMA, GSM/Edge, and Wideband CDMA. The operation supplies high-frequency bulk acoustic wave filters, plus SAW filters for WLAN, WiMax, Bluetooth, GPS, cable TV, set-top box, and network radio/base stations.
TriQuint employs nearly 350 in Orlando. The 93,000 square foot plant is headquarters for RF signal filtering and module design as well as manufacturing operations.
