PHOENIX-- On Semiconductor Corp. today said Michael Rohleder has resigned as senior vice president and director of sales and marketing to pursue other opportunities outside the company.
Rohleder joined the semiconductor spin-off from Motorola Inc. in September 1999 as director of sales and marketing after serving as president and CEO of distributor Wyle Electronics.
On Semiconductor said it is now engaged in a search for Rohleder's replacement and expects to name a successor in the next 60 days. In the interim, the company's CEO and president, Steve Hanson, will assume responsibility for the sales and marketing organization at the company.
The Phoenix chip maker also said J. Daniel McCranie, a member on the company's board of directors, will provide guidance and assistance during this search and transition period. McCranie, a 30-year veteran in the chip industry, has been vice president of sales and marketing at Cypress Semiconductor Corp.
