SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Artisan Components Inc. here today announced its "early access" chip libraries for Dongbu Electronics Co. Ltd.'s 0.18-micron CMOS process technology.
Under the terms of a deal signed in December 2001, Artisan's SAGE-X standard cell library, dual-port SRAM, and diffusion programmable ROM generators will be made available to Dongbu's selected silicon foundry customers.
Artisan expects to deliver to Dongbu its single-port SRAM generator and I/O library before or during June and September 2002, respectively, according to the Sunnyvale-based company.
As part of its free library program, Artisan expects to distribute a new suite of products optimized for Dongbu's 0.18-micron CMOS process in the third quarter of 2002, according to Dongbu of Seoul, South Korea. Dongbu's U.S. headquarters is located in Mountain View, Calif.

ease-of-use," said Peter Hillen, executive vice president of marketing and sales at Dongbu.
