TUCSON, Ariz.--Burr-Brown Corp. here named James E. Fowler as vice president of business development. In his new position, Fowler will head up Burr-Brown's strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the maker of linear and mixed-signal ICs, Fowler served as vice president of network technology and products at Motorola Inc.'s Semiconductor Products Sector, and VP of business development at Unitrode Corp. He has more than 20 years experience in the chip industry.
Fowler's appointment is a key step in Burr-Brown's target for high growth in communications and power markets, said Syrus P. Madavi, chairman, president and CEO.
