SAN JOSE -- Xilinx Inc. here today announced changes to the company's IP Center website that allow engineers to use the site as a portal for intellectual property on field-programmable gate arrays.
The site features a new search engine that provides an interactive view of all the IP modules available from Xilinx and its AllianceCORE partners. Designers can search for intellectual property by type, industry segment, functionality, FPGA family or keywords. Links on the site provide direct access to IP data sheets and online forms to request evaluation versions of the IP. IP can also be purchased on the site from providers, or through a linked e-commerce site.
Xilinx launched the IP Center last year as a site for design engineers to download the latest Xilinx solutions, contact partners and research industry trends.
"With access to complete solutions, designers can speed up product development and shorten their time to market," said Babak Hedayati, director of marketing and business development for the IP Solutions Division at Xilinx.
The IP Center also contains information on the Xilinx Design Reuse Initiative, including the FPGA Reuse Field Guide from Xilinx and Qualis Design Corp, and the Xilinx IP Internet Capture tool, which provides designers with an automated method to identify, capture, and document a piece of IP.
Several special sections of the IP Center provide detailed information about partnerships and services such as the AllianceCORE program; links to customers with LogiCORE solutions such as PCI and DSP modules that are developed sold and supported by Xilinx; and system solutions and industry trends.
