SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Microprocessor supplier Transmeta Corp. posted sales of $2.7 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2003, compared with $5.1 million in the second quarter of 2003 and $6.4 million in the third quarter of 2002.
GAAP net loss for the third quarter of 2003 was $23.7 million, or minus $0.17 per share. This compares with a GAAP net loss of $22.0 million, or a loss of $0.16 per share in the second quarter of 2003 and a GAAP net loss of $21.8 million, or a loss of $0.16 per share a year ago.
The company currently expects fourth quarter revenue to be flat to up 50 percent, depending on how quickly its new Efficeon designs ramp. GAAP net loss per share is expected to be in the range of $0.15 to $0.17 and a pro forma net loss per share in the range of $0.13 to $0.14.
