MC5 is the first of its kind documenting modular ALL-IN-ONE multifunction calibrator. Within its compact and ergonomic case, MC5 provides calibration capability for pressure, temperature, electrical and frequency signals (including pulses). Therefore, MC5 offers calibration capability for virtually all types of process and other instruments.
Intrinsically Safe Multifunction HART Calibrator
Beamex introduces an intrinsically safe ALL-IN-ONE truly multifunction calibrator designed in accordance with the EEx ia IIC T4 classification and the ATEX directive (II 1 G).
The MC5-IS calibrator suitable for hazardous environments includes basically all functionality required: pressure, temperature and electrical signals including frequency and pulses. The IP65 rated casing is designed for use in tough environmental conditions.
MC5-IS is provided with an internal HART modem. The MC5-IS HART communication enables calibration and trimming of HART transmitters. This means that MC5-IS replaces the need for a separate HART communicator.
The modular construction of MC5-IS makes the calibrator extremely adaptive for applications requiring wide pressure ranges. It can be equipped with up to three internal pressure modules covering ranges from 100 mbar to 160 bar. Furthermore, a wide choice of external pressure modules covering ranges up to 1000 bar allows for future expansion when new needs arise. Pressure, temperature and electrical sections may be installed simultaneous in a single unit. Both numerical and graphical as-found and as left calibration results can be viewed, along with the instrument history. A full-text display gives detailed calibration procedures, graphical presentations of the work just performed, safety instructions and test data. The interface is menu-driven and supported in multiple languages. The calibrator is provided with an easy to change rechargeable battery package.
As new firmware becomes available, the user can update the unit via the Internet. Flash memory technology provides support for the possibility to install functions developed in the future without sending the calibrator to the manufacturer for upgrade.
Additional features include configurable auto-step and ramp functions, simultaneous multi-channel datalogging and communication with calibration software.
