Designed to be used in a variety of carrier-grade applications including IMS media gateways, access gateways, Class 5 replacement switches, media servers and wireless interworking functions, the MG6000 is delivered in a 6U CompactPCI form factor that adheres to the PICMG 2.16 standard for Ethernet-based packet switching backplane.
In addition to providing IPMI support for chassis management, the MG6000 also has a robust set of features which in combination with the company's UniPorte Media and Voice Processing Software delivers field-hardened functions such as voice coding, echo cancellation, conferencing and fax relay.
Its' NexusWare Linux-based development is available for use on the board to handle signaling and protocol stacks such as MGCP, MEGACO, ISDN and SIGTRAN.
The MG6000 Media Gateway Blade offers up to 720 ports of low-bit rate VoIP, and provides integral support for wireless interworking functions including fax, data modem and V.110 rate adaptation.
Designed to be a drop-in solution for OEM gateways, the MG6000 can be used in a variety of carrier-grade media gateway applications including trunk gateways, Class 5 replacement switches, digital loop carriers, access gateways, radio network controllers, mobile switching centers and base station controllers.
The complementary NexusWare MG software delivers complete media gateway, media server and signaling gateway capabilities on the MG6000 hardware platform. NexusWare MG integrates Q.931, SIP, MGCP and H.248 signaling stacks, as well as the media processing functionality of UniPorte Media and Voice Processing Software.
