SofTec Microsystems has a new starter kit for the Freescale HC08 family supporting all LJ and LK derivatives in 80-pin QFP package using a QFP ZIF
socket which allows the devices to be easily interchanged.
The ZK-HC08LX-A Starter Kit takes advantage of the CodeWarrior Development Studio Special Edition (which groups an Editor, Assembler, C Compiler and
Debugger) and the Freescale MON08 interface, which allows the download and
debug of the user application into the microcontroller's FLASH memory.
It provides everything needed to write, compile, download, in-circuit emulate and debug user code. Full-speed program execution allows hardware and
software testing in real time. The Starter Kit is connected to a host PC
through a USB port. A prototyping area is available for wiring a small
Incorporating an 8-digit, 14-segment LCD, the prototyping area includes four push-buttons, eight DIP-switches, a potentiometer, eight user LEDs and one RS-232 port prototyping area.
The ZK-HC08LX-A starter kit is available for $360.
