San Jose, Calif. A PCI Express intellectual property (IP) core has been unleashed for the Virtex-II Pro FPGAs. This core is protocol and electrically compatible to the v1.0 base PCI Express spec. The core reaches 2.5-Gbps line speeds when used in conjunction with Rocket I/O transceivers, which deliver clock and data recovery, 8B/10B encoding, transmit/receive FIFOs, CRC, and 3.125-Gbps data rates. This core is offered as a LogiCORE product under the terms of SignOnce IP license.
