San Jose, Calif. The QuadPort datapath switching element supports bandwidths up to 27 Gbit/s, making it a nice fit for high-speed networking designs. This switching device sports 4 independent ports that can read up to 167 MHz and simultaneously access the data storage array. The switching element also features configurable I/Os supporting the LVTTL and SSTL2 standards, impedance matching on data outputs, bust counters for enabling block transfer of data, and memory block retransmit for reading a block of memory without loading the initial address.
The memory devices are delivered in 128-kb x 40, 64-kb x 40, and 32-kb x 40 configurations. They are offered in a 676-ball PBGA package measuring 27 x 27 x 1 mm.
