Tokyo, Japan The SH7300 processor performs video and audio processing in next-generation portable communication designs, such as cell phones and PDAs. Connected to a baseband processor, this processor sports an MPEG4*2 hardware accelerator for image processing. An SXGA camera interface is also delivered on board the chip for digital camera operation.
The multimedia processor is developed around the SH3-DSP core and operates up to 133 MHz. The device features a 1.4- to 1.6-V core voltage, 2.7- to 2.56-V tolerate I/Os, 173 MIPS processing performance, 32 kbytes of cache memory, and 128 kbytes of on-chip RAM. It is packaged in a CSP-256.
