Milpitas, Calif. Aimed at WLAN and PC NIC designs, the CM3103 integrates a 400-mA regulator with a 3.3-V auxiliary switch switch. By integrating these components, the IC can provide a constant 3.3-V output when dynamically switching between a 5-V main supply and a 3.3-V auxiliary supply.
To support voltage switching, the regulator delivers built-in hysteresis when selecting input supplies. It also provides foldback current limiting protection and thermal overload shutdown protection. The regulator is housed in an 8-pin SOIC.
