Gaithersburg, MD--March 29, 1996--Watkins-Johnson Company announced the appointment of Douglas P. Foster, 53, as director of sales and customer service for the company's Telecommunications Group, based here. In this position, Foster directs global sales of the company's subsystems and systems products for wireless communications and intelligence applications, and he manages all customer-service support functions. David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
