Pocatello, ID--March 25, 1996--American Microsystems Inc. (AMI) announced a restructuring of its sales organization and the promotion of Michael Dufort to the newly created position of Director of North American sales. A nineteen-year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Dufort's responsibilities will include leading the entire North American sales organization and overseeing the five U.S., and Canadian design centers. He will report to Harold A. Blomquist, vice president, and director of AMI's external business operations worldwide. In a related move, Vince Hopkin, formerly marketing manager for AMI's Digital ASICs division was appointed Sales Manager for Northern California.Return to Headlines
