San Jose, CA--May 29, 1996--Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC-USA, San Jose, CA) today announced the addition of Monty Botkin to the TSMC-USA management staff as director of planning and customer service. Reporting directly to Botkin will be the current managers of planning and customer support. Botkin comes to TSMC-USA most recently from Brother Industries (Bartlett, TN) where he was the director of manufacturing for the company's typewriter/word processing production plant.
David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
