Mt.Laurel, NJ--July 26, 1996--The IBM Corp. (Armank, NY), JBA International, and a number of industry consultants will jointly sponsor the 1997 Workplace Technology Forum in four midwest cities in September.
The purpose of the Forum is to help companies re-evaluate their software and hardware solutions in light of the changes taking place in the workplace now and in the future. The forum will provide attendees with the knowledge they need to apply to today's creative technologies to precisely position their businesses for the future.
IBM executives will present a view of how network technologies, such as the Internet and Intranets, along with groupware technologies such as Lotus Notes, are helping to shape the workplace of tomorrow. Effective communications, collaboration, and teamwork across a global stage are some of the many benefits to be discussed, against a backdrop of IBM's Olympic sponsorship.
JBA International executives will discuss the company's System 21 Worldwide integrated suite of solutions. The Forum will also demonstrate how System 21 allows users to link applications so they can work from a single point of interface. The keynoter speaker will be Patricia R. Hume, national AS/400 Lotus sales manager, of Lotus Development Corp.
In addition, representatives from consulting firms will speak on the latest developments in hardware and software and address how they impact the workplace.
