Boulder, CO--August 28, 1996--Spectra Logic (Boulder, CO) announced the availability of Alexandria Release 3.50.
This new version of Spectra Logic's archival and backup software provides significant performance enhancements and additional functionality.
In addition to the performance improvements, Alexandria 3.50 continues to provide an extensive list of supported devices with the addition of support for the IBM 3590/3494, StorageTek 9710, Ampex 310/410, and Sony's DTF technology. Support for these products complements Alexandria's set of supported devices from Quantum (DLT), Exabyte, Hewlett-Packard (tape and optical libraries), Spectra Logic (TapeFrame), Odetics, and ATL, among others.
Support for additional environments, including Microsoft's Windows NT platform, will be announced in the future. Supplementing a hard-copy manual, online documentation is available in HTML format.
Alexandria is available in North America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, and other parts of the world through Spectra Logic, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
