Beaverton, OR--August 26, 1996--OrCAD (Beaverton, OR) announced that their schematic symbols for Intel's (Santa Clara, CA) flash memory components are now available on both companies' web sites. Design engineers may access and download these symbols at no cost through the World Wide Web. Previously, this type of information was available only in printed catalogs and bulletin board sites (BBS).
OrCAD Capturex for Windows supports the complete set of Intel flash memory components. Capture searches all libraries for a specified part and automatically configures the library that contains that part. A help file contains a searchable list of all parts in the standard OrCAD libraries to further speed part selection. Intel flash memory components are used in embedded systems applications and provide additional memory for storing programs that remain intact even after the computer is turned off.
The symbol library can be accessed through http://www.intel.com/design/flcomp and http://www.orcad.com/tbbs/CAPTURE/LIBRARY/ORCAD/INTELFLA.OLB.
Intel includes the flash memory components in its SolutionsFlash Memory catalog, and makes them available through Intel sales and field representatives, as well as on its BBS. The symbol libraries will also be available on the upcoming release of OrCAD's Desktop Solutions demo CD.
