Southfield, MI--August 26, 1996--Computer Mail Services Inc. (CMS; Southfield, MI) announced that its new S-Bridge NT Copper gateway software for connecting Lotus cc:Mail and Microsoft Mail LAN E-mail installations to the Internet is available free from participating Internet service providers (ISPs) through Oct. 15, 1996.
The company also announced the availability of S-Bridge NT Gold, an enhanced version with additional administrative features for enterprises.
ISPs participating in CMS's new Bridge Alliance Program can distribute S-Bridge NT Copper gateway software free of charge to customers and prospects. CMS will also supply ISP's technical support services required to install and manage operational gateways.
S-Bridge NT Copper runs on a Windows NT machine and includes features such as MIME-encoding and decoding of attachments, real-time status reporting, and user auto-registration
After the free introductory offer ends October 15th, Copper will retail for $495 for unlimited users.
S-Bridge NT Gold will be marketed to enterprises who need an Internet gateway with high capacity, configuration flexibility, and advanced administrative features. Gold runs as a native NT service utilizing many inherent NT features such as the dedicated TCP/IP network connections, multi-threaded sessions, NT security and monitoring. Gold scales easily to increased bandwidth and processing power as traffic demands increase. S-Bridge NT Gold includes robust features that administrators of high-traffic or large user installations require.
