Mountain View, CA--October 29, 1996--Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI; Mountain View, CA) has promoted Victoria Hadfield to vice president of public policy. Hadfield, who joined SEMI in 1987 as director of public policy, heads SEMI's Washington D.C. office. She has been instrumental in helping set public policy on legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to trade and technology matters that affect SEMI's U.S. based member companies.
Prior to joining SEMI, Hadfield was an economist and trade specialist for the Washington D.C. office of Dewey Ballantine, a New York based law firm, and she served as chair of the Operating Committee of the Industry Coalition on Technology Transfer from 1989-1991. Currently, she is a member of the U.S. Government Industry Sector Advisory Committee on Electronics (ISAC-5).
