New York, NY--October 29, 1996--NetDynamics (Menlo Park, CA) is continuing to work with Sun Microsystems and its Java language to implement advanced uses of the language.
NetDynamics combined with Sun's JavaStation provides developers with an environment for building applications that share processing between the client and server.
To date, more than 150 companies are using NetDynamics' next-generation Web/database application and development tool for creating data-intensive, enterprise-scale business applications for the Internet and Intranet. The ways in which companies are realizing bottom line growth through use of these products fall into three basic categories:
- Business Automation: Some companies are using the Net to automate functions and distribution methodologies that have, until now, been handled through less direct means.
- Business Re-Engineering: Some companies are using the Net to re-engineer their businesses--growing their product offerings and revenue sources because of the distribution power and communications efficiency of the Web.
- Business Expansion: Some companies find that the Net represents entirely new business opportunities through new connections to customers or to other businesses.
The NetDynamics product family, introduced earlier this year, allows developers to take advantage of automatic Java code generation, drag-and-drop programming, page creation Wizards, session management, and built-in security mechanisms in order to create robust applications for ease and scale.
