Fremont, CA--October 28, 1996--MARGI Systems (Fremont, CA) is working closely with Texas Instruments' PCIBus Solutions Group that has validated both of MARGI's cards, MPEG to go and Capture to go, as qualified products for Zoomed Video (ZV) enabled notebook computers with PCMCIA Card and Socket Services.
ZV port technology enables the direct transfer of data from the PCMCIA card controller to the video/audio controller, eliminating the processing of this data over the system bus and through the host processor. MPEG to go is a Type II PCMCIA playback card for the ZV notebook computers that provides full-screen, full-motion, VHS quality MPEG-1 video playback with CD quality sound. It supports a broad range of applications including enhanced business presentations, training and education, and video games and entertainment. Capture to go is a Type II PCMCIA audio/video capture card that enables PC notebook users to display and capture live stereo audio and video from a variety of inputs including camera, camcorder, VCR, TV tuner, and laser disk players.
