(Palo Alto, CA) announced that HP OpenView OmniBack II is one of the first backup solutions to receive SAP R/3 certification for both Microsoft Windows NT and HP-UX operating environments. Certification with SAP's client/server business application solutions is expected to provide customers with a high-performance backup and restore solution that provides 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week application availability.
OmniBack II provides reliable protection and high accessibility for business data in multivendor, distributed-computing environments. Through a seamless integration with HP OpenView IT/Operations, OmniBack II allows for easy central monitoring and problem management through a graphical user interface that provides point-and-click administration.
By protecting SAP R/3 business data online, EDS is able to run its business applications 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
