Mountain View, CA--December 17, 1996--TelCom Semiconductor Inc. (Mountain View, CA) announced the latest addition to its family of system management products, the TC70/71 Micromaster.
The TC70/71 uses a unique scheme to merge one output and two outputs into a single pin, resulting in a level of integration not previously possible in an 8-pin package. It contains traditional CPU monitoring functions consisting of a precision supply monitor, /RESET generator, watchdog timer, manual reset override, and power fail comparator.
The watchdog timer is available with a disable input to facilitate user system testing. In addition, the TC70/71 incorporates battery backup circuitry consisting of a battery switchover circuit, and a gated chip enable or power fail output.
The TC70/71 are available with an operating temperature range of 0 degrees C to +70 degrees C or -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C. Five-thousand-piece pricing for the TC70 in an 8-pin PDIP is $1.57 and $1.62, respectively. Five-thousand-piece pricing for the TC71 in an 8-pin PDIP package is $1.57 and $1.62, respectively.
