Mountain View, CA--February 18, 1997--Aspect Development Inc. (Mountain View, CA) unveiled a new Web-based subscription service to Aspect's VIP Reference Database. This is the first Aspect product offering to be marketed through the company's new indirect sales channel.
The service, called AspectOnline, enables smaller manufacturers to reap the benefits of searching, comparing, and selecting components from databases of parts information--containing almost 2 million parts from over 670 suppliers. It can be accessed on the Internet at http://www.aspectonline.com, where a tutorial and demo demonstrate Aspect's patent-pending Java-based Explore search engine and the depth of information available.
In addition, AspectOnline provides a range of Web links to important related sites, including those of semiconductor manufacturers, component distributors, design tool vendors, design centers, test vendors, and industry news.
AspectOnline has been in production with select customers since December 1996. Subscriptions are available immediately. Pricing starts at $2,000 per user for the typical program for a one-year, multi-user subscription.
