Burnaby, BC--March 24, 1997--Spectrum Signal Processing (Burnaby, BC) announced the availability of their flexible multi-platform digital radio solution, consisting of Spectrum's MCD44DDC 50 MHz TIM module, MD70MAI 70 MS per second A/D converter TIM module, 50 kHz Analog Daughter Module (residing on PC DMCB or VME DMCB boards), and a DDR cable kit. This new offering provides customers with the flexible and cost-effective advantages of a fully-functional modular and scaleable solution, while maintaining interoperability with VXI, ISA, PCI, and VME platforms, and networkability for use in single-signal and multiple-signal applications.
The MDC44DDCs can be daisy-chained to form a true "one-tuner, many signals" system. Both the MD70MAI and the MDC44DDC TIM modules can be mixed and matched on our CV4, QPC40/S and VX8 TIM carriers. The output of the MDC44DDCs can be forwarded to a speaker via our 50 kHz Analog Daughter Module or to recorders and displays via the VME bus.
The complete digital radio solution is available now; the MDC44DDC-50 1 Mbyte TIM module is priced at $7,000, the MDC44DDC-50 4MB TIM module is priced at $8,000, and the MD70MAI A/D converter module is listed at $2,900. Development kits for both TIM modules and DDR cable kits are also currently available for purchase from Spectrum.
