Kanata, Canada--April 28, 1997--At NetWorld+Interop Spring 97, Mitel Corp. (Kanata, Canada) will highlight the evolution toward a converged voice and data enterprise infrastructure with "Get Ready For voiceLAN," a showcase of converged voice and data technologies at Mitel's booth #2049. Mitel will show the robustness and high bandwidth capabilities of NeVaDa (Networked Voice and Data), a voiceLAN networking solution that operates over a single enterprise ATM backbone, by simultaneously demonstrating a number of realtime, desktop multimedia applications. Mitel will also show the future of voiceLAN in a demonstration of voice over the LAN to the desktop to show the emerging direction of the integrated voiceLAN solution. NetWorld+Interop Spring 97 exhibition will be held in Las Vegas, May 6-8.
Mitel will feature NeVaDa, in tandem with the recently introduced MITEL OPS MANAGER, an open network management solution for the voice domain. OPS MANAGER simplifies network administration and maximizes network performance by providing IT managers with a voice application management interface based on familiar data models.
Mitel is participating in a multivendor demonstration of ATM products that are available today at the ATM Forum's Hot Spot demonstration (Booth #2491). As part of this demonstration, Mitel will illustrate the capabilities of NeVaDa voiceLAN networking, by operating a range of applications across the NeVaDa 155 Mbps ATM backbone.
