Beaverton, Ore.--Sept. 29, 1997--Opmaxx Inc. (Beaverton, Ore.) announced the appointment of John Scadden as controller. Scadden will be responsible for Opmaxx' financial operations and will report directly to Doug Goodman, Opmaxx president and CEO. Opmaxx provides solutions for automating design analysis and test of analog and mixed-signal devices.
Most recently with Novell Singapore, Scadden led the Asia Pacific finance team and redesigned the company's financial activities in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore. Before working in the Asia Pacific region, he was an integral part of the management group responsible for the establishment of Novell's European, Middle Eastern, and African manufacturing and distribution center in Dublin, Ireland. Scadden's 13 years of experience working with software firms in finance, management, and international relations has provided him with an excellent background for managing Opmaxx finances.
Scadden earned his master's degree in international management from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management where he studied accounting, corporate finance, and foreign relations. He received his bachelor of arts degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
