Los Gatos, Calif--Nov. 24, 1997--Coryphaeus Software, Inc., theleading innovator of real-time 3-D software, announced that Richard C.Jones, Jr. has joined the company as vice president of Sales and Marketing. A regional director at Intergraph for twelve years, Jones is the latestaddition to an impressive new management team that includes the company'sCEO Chris Groves, as well as board members from the executive ranks of AT&T Labs and Silicon Graphics, Inc.
Prior to assuming his post at Coryphaeus, Jones served fifteen years atIntergraph where he developed regional partnerships with Intel,Microsoft, and Oracle, and managed annual revenues up to $80 million.
As the VP of Sales and Marketing, Jones will be responsible for bothpositioning the Coryphaeus product line and directing the company'sworldwide sales network. Jones' tenure at Intergraph, where he doubledregional product revenues and quadrupled reseller channel sales, serves asideal preparation for his new position.
The addition of Jones extends Coryphaeus's strong new management team. OnMay 8, Chris Groves was appointed president and CEO. Prior to thearrival of Groves, the board appointed Dave Nagel, president of AT&T Labs,Eric Carlson, vice president and general manager of Silicon Graphics'Advanced Entertainment Systems Division, and Adam Cioth, general partner at Volpe, Welty & Co.
