Aside from current OEM designs, Cyrix is showcasing the MediaGX processor technology in a home 'infotainment' device announced last week as the Media Center. Through this prestigious award, BYTE Magazine is recognizing Cyrix's MediaGX processor technology and its Media Center technology demo as an important development for computing in the future.
David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
