Beaverton, Ore.--Dec. 29, 1997--Test Systems Strategies, Inc. (TSSI),announced the appointment of John DiGirolamo as the company's newpresident and chief executive officer, succeeding Roger Bitter.
Given the recent changes at TSSI, Mr. DiGirolamo's strategicfocus will be to shorten customers' time-to-market with high-qualitysolutions that seamlessly bridge the gap between electronic designautomation (EDA) tools and in-production automatic test equipment(ATE). TSSI emerged as an independently run company from corporateownership by Summit Design in July 1997 and in September went on toacquire the fault simulation assets and key personnel from ZycadCorp.
An ATE veteran, Mr. DiGirolamo possesses over 33 years ofexperience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry, mostrecently serving as TSSI's vice president of worldwide sales andmarketing. Prior to TSSI, Mr. DiGirolamo held a variety ofsenior-level positions within the industry, including a tenure atGenRad, Inc.
