San Mateo, Calif.-- Dec. 19, 1997--Siebel Systems, Inc. announced that Mentor Graphics has increased the effectiveness of its sales organization through deployment of a comprehensive customer information system basedon Siebel Sales Enterprise.
With complete and up-to-date customer information now easily available, Mentor Graphics sales representatives are moving through sales cycles much faster--meeting with more prospects, providing them with complete product information on-demand, and responding to their questions quickly and completely.
After a remarkably rapid deployment of only three months, approximately 200 U.S. field sales representatives at Mentor Graphics are now using Siebel Sales Enterprise to manage all of theircustomer interactions. By Q1 of 1998, Mentor Graphics intends to have its worldwide sales force of 500 using Siebel Sales Enterprise on Windows 95-based laptops.
In an effort to integrate the efforts of its sales and marketing organizations to increase overall productivity, Mentor Graphics embarked upon an exhaustive 10-month evaluation of competing customerinformation systems. During that time, Mentor Graphics conducted 67 in-depth interviews with experienced field sales representatives to determine their software requirements and preferences. At the conclusion of the evaluation, Siebel Sales Enterprise emerged as the only customer information system that allowed Mentor Graphics' sales and marketing teams to share their collective knowledge and cooperatively develop effective sales and marketing strategies.
