Fremont, Calif.--Jan. 29, 1998--Credence Systems Corp., a manufacturerof leading automatic test equipment (ATE) for the worldwide semiconductorindustry, today released version 3.4 of its SC AGILE software.
Designed to enhance the capabilities of Credence's SC family oftest systems, this latest software release improves support forparallel test, which will reduce the cost of test and increase theefficiency of the testers' productivity.
The AGILE software covers all aspects of test, from programdevelopment to device characterization and production test. Fieldupgradable, Credence's new software will boost productivity, increasethroughput, and reduce the cost of test for the hundreds of SC testsystems installed throughout the world. Ideally suited for productionenvironments, Credence designed the SC series to test microcomponents,ASICs, and programmable logic devices at both the probe and the packagestages. The SC product family includes the SC u (micro) and the SC312, a 100-MHz tester.
Featuring a simplified design of test fixtures and powerful newtools for program test and debugging, programmers will increase theirefficiency and reduce the time previously spent on the programdevelopment process. Among the new tools added to increase theefficiency of Credence's AGILE software, the test vector tool (TVtool)is a comprehensive vector editor that can be used on- or off-line.While the Opcode Analyzer tool allows the reading and writing ofmicrocontroller opcodes in convenient, user-defined mnemonics.
