(Wilsonville, Ore.) continued its commitment to deliverbest-in-class high-speed board design solutions with the announcement of the Interconnectix tool suite. This new release offers significant enhancementsto Mentor Graphics' existing interconnect synthesis (IS) solution. TheInterconnectix solution unites signal integrity and timing analysis withfloorplanning, placement, and routing. This enables engineers to createelectrically correct, manufacturable designs in one pass to meet theirtime-to-market goals. Mentor Graphics' Interconnectix solution also allows designers to get more performance out of their system, increase reliability, and decrease the manufacturing costs of their products.
Enhancements to the Interconnectix solution include a complete "what-if"analysis environment that allows for signal integrity, timing, andlayout exploration in a "sandbox" environment even before a design schematic is available. This release also offers support for user-definable corner-case analysis, allowing users to evaluate best- and worst-case timing and signal integrity parameters throughout the design process.
Mentor Consulting has created a knowledge center that is exclusivelyfocused on high-speed design. Staffed by industry experts, it provides serviceofferings to help customers identify and prevent the common causes of failure inhigh-speed designs, as well as to adopt new high-speed design methodologies.
The Interconnectix solution is ideal for system companies who have been plagued by schedule delays because of high-speed board challenges.
