Following a successful field trial program, orders for production units would initiate in early 1999, with full-scale production anticipated by early 2000.
DNA won its contract in a globally competitive selection process. It marks the first international contract received by the DSP Design Center at DNA for ruggedized DSP products. The application highlights DNA's strategy of leveraging the high-performance commercial design expertise of its DSP Design Center to address demanding military production programs that support high-margin products and offer long-term opportunities for volume production. The scope of the projected production program related to this development project calls for as many as 6,000 systems to be deployed, with a revenue potential in excess of ten million dollars.
