Mountain View, Calif.--March 23, 1998--Verisity Design, Inc. (Mountain View) announced that it has set up operations in the Far East and hired industry veteran Joe Nalewajko as vice president of Asian operations to oversee sales and customer support services for the region. In addition, Verisity has signed a manufacturer's representative agreement with Cybertec in Japan to be the exclusive representative of Verisity in that country.
Cybertec is headed by Naoya Tsuruta who is well known to Japanese design communities. Tsurutasan has 19 years working experience in electronic design and in the last 12 years has sold and supported Model Technology, Inc., Summit Design, and SCS/Mentor Graphics, among other EDA companies. He started Cybertec two years ago and has represented Compass library products. Cybertec collaborates with LSI Systems, a provider of services to many of Japan's largest electronics companies, for design and consulting services.
Joe Nalewajko has 30 years of electronics industry experience with 13 years in sales and management positions in EDA companies. He joins Verisity from Compass Design Automation where he was most recently head of Far East operations before the company's acquisition by Avanti. Prior to working for Compass, Nalewajko was a marketing director at Dazix.
