San Diego, Calif.--March 19, 1998--Cymer, Inc. (San Diego)has promoted Pascal Didier to the new position of senior vice president of worldwide customer operations, reporting to Robert Akins, Cymer's president and chief executive officer.
In his new role, Didier is chartered with directing Cymer's worldwide sales,marketing and support operations, which have been centralized to better serve theescalating needs of the company's growing customer base. Didier is alsoresponsible for managing the sales and support operations of the company'swholly owned Japanese subsidiary, Cymer Japan, to further augment its marketshare in this key geographic region.
Prior to his promotion, Didier served as Cymer's vice president of sales andmarketing. Before joining Cymer, he was vice president of worldwide sales andfield operations for GaSonics International. In this role, Didier was responsible forthe sales and service of the company's photoresist removal, oxidation furnace, andisotropic etch products. Prior to GaSonics, he spent over 12 years at Megatest Corp.,serving in a variety of management positions, including vice president ofinternational operations. Didier holds a bachelor's degree in businessadministration from College de Paris VII and a bachelor's degree in electronicsfrom Institut Universitaire de Lyon.
