San Jose, Calif.--March 16, 1998--Design Acceleration, Inc. announced that Mark Glasser had been named director of verification engineering, reporting to Dean Drako, DAI president and CEO. Glasser joined the company to manage the development of DAI's verification technology.
Glasser's initial responsibility at DAI is to develop a transaction-based verification system using technology acquired from Compaq Computer
Glasser has an extensive background both in developing and in using EDA tools. He joins DAI from Cypress Semiconductor (San Jose) where he was the corporate CAD manager with corporate-wide responsibility for tools and methodologies in the areas of software engineering, simulation, other front-end CAD tools, web/intranet; and worked with EDA vendors to integrate new tools into Cypress's design flows.
Prior to Cypress, Mark held various engineering and engineering management positions at Vantage Analysis Systems (Fremont, Calif.), Nextwave Design Automation (Palo Alto, Calif.), Valid Logic Systems (San Jose), and Silvar Lisco (Menlo Park, Calif.). Mark started his carrier at Hughes Aircraft Company (Canoga Park, Calif.) where he developed and maintained VLSI CAD/CAE tools
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science with honors from California State University, Northridge.
