San Jose--April 23, 1998--Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC, San Jose) will hold its annual Technology Symposium on May 14 at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara, Calif.
The day-long event features a number of speakers who will present details of the company's technology, capacity, and service roadmaps. The focus of the symposium will be on TSMC's 0.25-m technology and services and future migration to 0.18-m technologies and services.
Presenters will include senior management and technologists from TSMC. Lester Thurow, Lemelson Professor of Management and Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management, will present the keynote address. Thurow is an author on international economies and the nature of global competition whose most recent book, The Future of Capitalism: How Today's Economic Forces Shape Tomorrow's World, examines the changing nature of the world economy and its impact on the competitiveness of individuals, firms, and nations.
