Los Angeles, Calif.--May 26, 1998--Organizers of the Wescon/ICExpo '98 electronics trade show and conference announced preparations for an opening-day keynote roundtable. The keynote will present thediverse perspectives of six high-level semiconductor industry executives on the industry and ecomomic forces shaping systems-on-a-chip (SOC)developments.
The Wescon/IC Expo '98 keynote event, "Systems-on-a-Chip: Economicand Industry Perspectives," takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. onSeptember 15, 1998, at the Anaheim Marriott, adjacent to the AnaheimConvention Center show venue.
Participants in the roundtable discussion are Walden C. Rhines,president and CEO, Mentor Graphics Corp.; Alex Lidow, CEO, InternationalRectifier; Theo Claasen, chief technology officer, Philips Semiconductors,B.V.; Jean-Louis Bories, Sr. V.P. and general manager, Core TechnologyGroup, National Semiconductor Corp.; William B. Pohlman, V.P., ComputerEnhancements Group and general manager, Central Logic Engineering, IntelCorp.; and Charles Boucher, V.P., senior semiconductor analyst, Donaldson,Lufkin, & Jenrette. The discussion will be moderated by Michael Schrage,research associate, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Media Lab.
Event moderator Michael Schrage will direct panelists to elaborateon their specific visions, concerns, and solutions for the successfuladvancement of SOC technology.
