Northbrook, Ill--May 20, 1998--IPC Printed Circuits Expo '98, produced by the Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits, broke attendance records for the fourth year in a row.
More than 4,200 people attended the expo, which was in Long Beach,Calif., April 26-30. That's compared with the 3,900 people who attended lastyear's conference in San Jose. Counting both exhibitor personneland attendees, more than 7,700 people were in Long Beach to take advantage ofthe networking and educational opportunities available at the expo.
Exhibitor booths increased from 750 in 1997 to 854 in 1998. Tutorial and workshopattendance also increased by more than 10 percent at the show to more than1,200. Attendance at the technical conference topped 700 for the second year ina row.
To meet the demand for booth space in 1999, the next IPC Printed Circuits Expowill have 980 booths and will be at the Long Beach Convention Center, March 14-18, 1999.
