Sunnyvale, Calif.--August 12, 1998--Aspec Technology, Inc. (Sunnyvale) announced that it has verified both theOakDSPcore and PineDSPcore 16-bit digital signal processor (DSP) cores with0.35-m and 0.25-m process technologies. Verification was proven through DSPGroup's Verilog simulation model and testbench.
The company is making the OakDSPcore and PineDSPcore immediatelyavailable to its OEM customers as foundry-portable hard cores. Aspeccustomers can now design system-on-a-chip products while having foundry flexibilitythrough the Sureflow customer-owned tooling design flow.
The OakDSPcore and PineDSPcore are both members of the Smartcores family ofDSP cores. They are both 16-bit, general-purpose, low-power, low-voltage, andhigh-speed DSP cores designed for speech/audio processing,telecommunications, digital cellular, and embedded control applications.
