Sunnyvale, Calif.--August 17, 1998--Actel Corp. (Sunnyvale)announced the latest revision to its Designer Series FPGA designsoftware, version R2-1998.
Actel's R2-1998 Designer Series software version has been enhanced toensure timing analysis accuracy, helping designerswork at an internal clock rate in excess of 320 MHz. The timing analysis software reportspin-to-pin timing delays between modules instead of lumping routingdelays and module delays together. An additional feature, the flip-flopreport, allows designers to determine the number of sequential andcombinatorial macros used in a design for accurate prediction of deviceutilization.
Within R2-1998, refinements have been made to Actmap, which add a clockresource checking and speed/utilization performance improvement. Alsorefined is Actgen, which provides a new user interface, new macro types, behavioral VHDL and Verilog model generation capability, and improvedreporting.
Designer Series R2-1998 is available now for $995. A Designer Liteversion of R2-1998 is available free from Actel's Web site. R2-1998 offers support for all existing Actel FPGAsincluding the new A54SX16 and the A54SX32. A free upgrade is availablefor existing customers who have a valid maintenance contract.
