Andover, Mass.--Sept. 29, 1998--I-Logix, Inc. (Andover) announced the appointment of Jeffrey R. Lentz, CPA, as senior vice president of finance and administration, and chief financial officer. Lentz will report to Gene Robinson, the company's president and CEO.
In addition to having overall responsibility for finance, Lentz will be heavily involved in worldwide strategic business development for I-Logix. He will also oversee all aspects of administration and human resources.
Lentz brings to I-Logix more than 20 years of financial management experience in private industry and public accounting. Most recently, as chief financial officer of EPIX Medical, Inc., an early-stage pharmaceutical company, Lentz played a major role in the formation of significant business collaborations and in the successful completion of EPIX's initial public offering.
Earlier in his career, Lentz was a senior manager in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneurial Services Group. He has also worked in private practice as a consultant to foreign-owned and ventured-backed businesses and has held senior financial positions with companies in the telecommunications and medical instrumentation industries.
Lentz holds a master of science degree in accounting from Northeastern University and a bachelor's degree from Colby College. He is a member of the American Institute and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Lentz serves as a director of the Helping Hands Foundation and as an advisor to the Center for Middle East Competitive Strategy, Inc. He resides with his family in Andover.
