Hillsboro, Ore.--June 28, 1999--Radisys Corp. (Hillsboro) announced the availability of the Radisys EPC-095, a flexible I/O multimedia controllerbaseboard, for use by OEM equipment.
The standard EPC-095 configuration boasts a 266 MHz Low Power Intel Pentium processor,64 Mbytes RAM, dual USB, and four Serial RS232 ports. The EPC-095 also features a three-connector DIN interface giving access to all on-board I/O features whether the controller is used asa standard breakout board or plugged into a custom backplane.
Also included are 10/100TX Ethernet, PC104, Compact flash, floppy drive, parallel printer port, dualEIDE channels, and an on-board hard disk. Video comes from a 69000 Chips & Technology chipsetproviding 2 Mbytes of on-chip video memory, high graphics CRT, composite, flat panel, and LVDS support. Sound Blaster Pro-compatible audio is implemented with 1.5 watt output.
Prototypes of the EPC-095 are available now. Production shipments should begin in September1999 priced at $995 each up to quantity 100.
