Ottawa, Canada--December 20, 1999--Mitel Semiconductor, a division of Mitel Corporation announced the appointment of Pierre Nadeau asvice president of its communications business.With more than 20 years ofexperience in engineering and business development for the semiconductorand communications industries, Nadeau will drive the market adoption ofMitel's connectivity business.
In his new role, Nadeau will build relationships with tier-one customersand oversee the strategic development of Mitel Semiconductor'scommunications business encompassing WAN internetworking, telephony,wireless, home gateway, optical and communications system level integration(SLI) solutions. He will be based in Swindon, England.
Before joining Mitel, Nadeau served as the general manager of LSI LogicEurope, and vice president and officer of LSI Logic Corporation. At LSI, here-engineered the marketing, sales and engineering organizations to focuson SLI vertical applications in communications and media, growing thebusiness in Europe by over 60 percent in a three-year period. He has alsoheld senior management positions with Nortel and Lucent.
Nadeau holds a bachelor of engineering in electronics andtelecommunications from Sherbrooke University, a master of businessadministration in managerial economics from the University of Ottawa, andhas completed doctoral studies in strategic management at Oxford University.
