CS VERILOG's ObjectGEODE Now Includes Test Generation, Model Tracing on Target, and Code Generation for OSEK.
Paris, France--December 20, 1999-- CS VERILOG releases ObjectGEODE version 4.1.2 for Windows. This new versionincludes:TestComposer for test generation. DesignTracer for model tracing on target, Run-time library for OSEK and an OSEK-compliant code generator, Updated version of the SDL-MSC Viewer for browsing models.
ObjectGEODE is based on UML, SDL, MSC and ASN.1 worldwide standards, andcovers system and software modeling, model debugging and testing, test casegeneration, and executable code generation for real-time platforms.
TestComposer is a Computer-Aided Test Generation tool that automaticallygenerates test suites from SDL models and test objectives. This product isvery useful for generating black-box, conformance tests according to theISO/IEC 9646 standard. Test objectives describe which feature or componentof the system must be tested; test suites describe how these features orcomponents can be tested. TestComposer generates complete test suites ineither MSC or TTCN format from the software system model, using testobjectives that are provided by the test designer or computed byTestComposer. An API is provided to produce other formats, such as thoseused by in-house test benches. Users can test existing software derivedfrom design paper blueprints, or software under development that has beeneither produced with the ObjectGEODE Code Generator, or manually coded usingObjectGEODE only as a modeling tool.
DesignTracer allows the user to graphically view the execution of the systemon the target from the host platform. Executions can be saved and replayedlater. The execution scenarios can be transformed into MSCs, and can beviewed from the editor to verify consistency with the SDL design. Filtersare set viaconditional expressions associated with SDL objects. All objects of thesame type are traced. Triggers are used to express more precise traceconditions, and consist of trigger or stop conditions applied duringexecution tracing sessions.
ObjectGEODE addresses the Electronic Control Unit Network (ECUs) ofOSEK-based applications such as body controllers and Engine ManagementSystems (EMS). It will streamline the development process from therequirements, to the design, and all the way down to the targetimplementation for automotive high-availability and communicating OSEKapplications. With a simple click of a button, ObjectGEODE generates fullOSEK compliant production-quality source code, allowing softwarearchitecture exploration among different ECUs. With a single ObjectGEODEdesign you can make your system run on one or multiple ECUs. The run-timelibrary is delivered in source code and can easily be tailored for specificneeds or constraints.
