Cupertino, CA - July 31, 2000 - Magma Design Automation, Inc. today announced that NEC Electronics Inc., has licensed the Blast Fusion physical design system and has selected it for the development of a time- and power-sensitive, multi-million gate, 0.18-micron chip.
The two companies intend to begin joint development of the large, deep sub-micron device immediately.
