Agilent Technologies and Centro de Tecnologia de las Comunicaciones SA (CETECOM) have announced that CETECOM has integrated Agilent equipment into test solutions for certification of Bluetooth devices
The testers, combined with Agilent equipment, can probe Bluetooth RF and protocol specifications against officially defined standards and limitations.
CETECOM provides two types of Bluetooth conformance testers based on Agilent technology: a pre-qualification solution covering most test specifications, and a comprehensive solution that tests for all qualification requirements.
"CETECOM is recognised as a Bluetooth authority by the standards committee itself, and the company's solutions are an excellent way to present Agilent products to the conformance test market," said John Boutsikaris, general manager of Agilent's worldwide Channel Partner Unit. "The combination of our test instruments and technical support with CETECOM's acknowledged expertise will enable customers to accelerate the design, manufacture and marketing of Bluetooth compliant products."
"Our background in Bluetooth technology puts us in a unique position to determine which instruments will work best in effective conformance test solutions," said Andris Moreno, CETECOM's telecommunications director. "The quality of Agilent equipment is unrivalled, and the company provides the technical support and industry expertise that we need to build solutions that speed the process of Bluetooth qualification. Customers have asked for Agilent-based solutions, and now they can proceed with the confidence required to justify substantial investments in the rapidly expanding Bluetooth market."
CETECOM stated that the solutions would be demonstrated at the Bluetooth Congress held this week in Monaco.
